Lázaro: 'I'm happy at UD Almería and I want to score a lot of goals here!'

The Brazilian left-winger has recognised that he is beavering away to become the best at UD Almería

Lázaro Vinicius Marques spoke in the Power Horse Stadium press room for the first time since he arrived from Brazilian top-tier side Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and explained his decision to join the Rojiblancos in the following terms: 'I made the decision to join UD Almería because it's a Club with many young players and I believe I can grow here. It was a joint decision together with my family and agent.'

Lázaro -as he has mentioned that he prefers to be called- is one of the many Brazilians in the dressing room: 'My Brazilian team-mates are helping me enormously and that allows me to be calm and relaxed to adapt more quickly.' The Belo Horizonte native attacker wanted to highlight Rubi's fundamental role in training: 'He gives me a lot of confidence in every session and in every game. He teaches me tactical and defensive concepts every day. He's a head coach who is helping me to learn loads.'

The 20-year-old player is determined to make sure that his state of mind is reflected on the pitch: 'I want to be happy playing football and score many goals with Unión Deportiva Almería.'
