Last Dance of 2025: UD Almería gear up for Málaga trip
Rubi’s side aim to close out this year with a triumph as Monte return and Soko misses out
UD Almería are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for their final match of 2025, as they head to Málaga in search of a strong conclusion to the year. Rubi’s squad will travel with high hopes, having excelled on the road this season, with the fourth-best away record in the Segunda.
The Rojiblancos have been impressive away from home, claiming 15 points from 9 matches: 4 wins, 3 draws and just 2 losses, one of them against AD Ceuta FC. UD Almería are just 2 points shy of the top away team in the league, making their visit to La Rosaleda Stadium a crucial opportunity to finish the year on a high note.
Head coach Rubi will be boosted by the return of defender Nelson Monte, who is available again after serving a one-match suspension. Monte will be making his first return to La Rosaleda since his 2-season spell with Málaga CF. However, the gaffer will be without midfielder Patrick Soko, who is currently with the Cameroon squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
UD Almería will continue their preparations behind closed doors until Saturday, before heading into Sunday’s Andalusian derby with the goal of finishing 2025 on a positive and exciting note.
