UD Almería head coach Rubi showed himself absolutely satisfied with the resounding 3-0 victory over RCD Mallorca achieved: ‘This victory leaves us one step away from our goal,’ since in his humble opinion and depending on other results, LaLiga Santander survival can be sealed with 39 or 40 points.
The Rojiblancos’ gaffer also shared his post-match thoughts: ‘We prepared for this game well as we knew how important it was,’ but the win has also been clinched in a spectacular way and with offensive football. So much so that Rubi said: ‘I’ve really enjoyed what my team has done.’
Rubi highlighted the performance put in by all his players, especially Lázaro’s: ‘I’m really happy for the work in silence that he’s done to have days like today. I’ve been saying for some time that the Club had made the right choice with his signing.’
The Vilassar de Mar native highlighted: ‘It’s a source of pride to be able to reach the final games of the season with these feelings. We knew that it was going to be hard and that we’d be fighting until the end, although let's see if we can secure our LaLiga Santander status before the last Matchday.
