UD Almería back in the office with the aim of proving bouncebackability
The Rojiblancos will try to get back to winning ways against Málaga CF after six games on the spin without emerging victorious that have led them to leave the play-off zone, although they are immersed in the tight race for promotion
UD Almería are back in the office after Monday's rest day to begin preparing for Saturday's match against Málaga CF at the UD Almería Stadium (Matchday 29). The Rojiblancos have not won their last six games, resulting in 4 draws and 2 defeats, and this winless streak has led the team to leave the promotion play-off zone, although being involved in the tight race to move up to the Primera. They have been losing some confidence that now want to recover by proving their bouncebackability once and for all as it happened in the first half of the campaign. On the last Matchday in Gijón, they were on the verge of winning, bringing good vibes on the pitch.
UD Almería have four sessions to gear up against rivals who will make things very complicated. For this new and demanding league fixture, Selvi is available after serving a one-match ban, but injuries continue to pile up with Baba, Gui Guedes and Rachad on the treatment table and now Chumi, due to injury. Kaiky received his marching orders against Real Sporting de Gijón. By the way, the Portuguese midfielder continues to do some ball work on the lawn, something significant.
This first training session of the week was held on the Anexo ground and from this Wednesday until Friday, when the preparation ends, the football practices will be conducted behind closed doors.
