UD Almería back to work at training base
The Rojiblancos are now focusing on Friday's home match against second-placed CD Mirandés just two points ahead of UD Almeria. The 'Jabato' team are the ones who concede the fewest goals in the league
The UD Almería players are back to training after being off duty last Monday with a session that was held again on the Anexo ground, which is now available after the pitch has undergone a reseeding. On the horizon, the Rojiblancos have one of the teams at the top of their game this campaign, CD Mirandés, who will arrive on Friday at the UD Almería Stadium on the back of 4 consecutive wins, one of them against leaders Racing de Santander in North Spain.
The 'Jabato' team, as Miranda de Ebro's team is also known, are currently second in the standings, surpassing the Indálicos by just two points. In addition, they are also the ones who concede the fewest goals in the league, only 13 in 18 games.
UD Almería have great attacking potential, but they will need to be effective in finishing and not make things easy for the rivals because, although they are not one of the top scoring teams, they make the most of the goals they net.
As for the injury latest news, crocked Robertone and Baba will be joined by Gui Guedes for a while, as the Portuguese underwent surgery this Tuesday for a fifth metatarsal fracture of his left foot. The Rojiblancos have two more training sessions ahead of them in the Stadium to prepare for the visit of CD Mirandés.
