Retro vibes take centre stage with new match ball
LaLiga Hypermotion introduces the 4th official ball of the 2025/26 season with a nostalgic 90s-inspired design
UD Almería’s squad have trained with the new retro-style match ball that will be used in the upcoming Matchday 35 of LaLiga Hypermotion. The match week has been given a nostalgic theme, with clubs, referees and even the ball itself embracing designs inspired by past eras.
The ball pays tribute to the iconic look of late-1990s footballs while maintaining all the cutting-edge features of the official Puma ball used this season. It features a seamless construction with 12 large panels, designed to enhance aerodynamics and deliver a more stable and precise flight. This technology ensures consistent trajectory, whether for powerful strikes, controlled touches, or accurate passing during matches.
This retro edition marks the 4th official ball used this campaign. The season began with a white ball up to Matchday 12, followed by the now-standard yellow version. A special edition ball was introduced for Matchday 31 to promote the fight against racism. After this retro Matchday, the competition will return to the yellow ball for the remainder of the season.
