LaLiga Hypermotion table is heavily congested at the top

UD Almería, who ended their remarkable 14-game unbeaten streak last weekend, lost the top spot, although they sit third at the moment, 2 points adrift from Racing de Santander, who are leading the pack again. Head coach Rubi pointed out that he wanted his team to have their 'bag' full (points) just in case worse times came

LaLiga Hypermotion table is heavily congested at the top. After 24 Matchdays, there are 6 teams who occupy the automatic promotion and play-off places within a margin of 4 points. UD Almería are fully immersed in the tight race for promotion with great hopes for success... like their direct rivals, with most of them waiting to visit the UD Almería Stadium in the second half of the season. Real Oviedo will be the first ones to travel down South. Head coach Rubi already warned after winning in Córdoba freshly: 'I want my team to have their bag full of points in case tough times come.' Bad times haven't arrived yet, however UD Almería ended their remarkable 14-game unbeaten streak last Sunday in Albacete. The Indálicos have moved down from first place to third due to the high competitiveness atop of the table and because almost all their direct rivals emerged victorious last weekend.

The situation is as follows with some teams elevating themselves into the upper reaches of the table: Racing de Santander are once again topping the table with 45 points; runners-up Elche CF and third-placed UD Almería are level on points (43); Levante UD and Real Oviedo are one point adrift from the Elicitanos and Indálicos (42) are just behind; CD Mirandés are the 6th ranked team in the play-off zone (41); SD Huesca have 40 points...Granada CF with 37, Real Zaragoza with 32... There is still a long way to go since the second half of the campaign has only just begun, but the fierce fight is surely going to be extremely exciting.

Rubi also commented in the pre-Huesca press conference at home, that the top-of-the-table clashes will be key and they have to be played in the Rojiblancos' stadium. Tough games will be coming thick and fast... Real Oviedo, Elche CF, Levante UD and Racing de Santander, this one on the penultimate Matchday will battle it out in Almería city week after week. All fixtures are of the utmost importance, especially when the table is really right.

The Cántabros, who have regained the lead, are the ones who have been pacesetters the most times this season (14). They went to the top in the sixth game and lost that privilege on Matchday 20 when UD Almería, who have been the leaders for the last four weeks, took the lead back then. Real Zaragoza (3), Levante UD (2) and SD Huesca (1) have also been leading the pack. Anything feels possible in Segunda
