UD Almería squad returns after Leganés trip as they gear up for busy week ahead

The Rojiblancos resume training ahead of suspended match against AD Ceuta FC and upcoming clash with SD Huesca

The UD Almería travelling squad returned from Madrid after their match at the Ontime Butarque Stadium in Leganés. The team flew back to Almería on a charter flight and the squad will enjoy a well-deserved rest on Sunday before a demanding two-week schedule begins.

The Rojiblancos will return to training on Monday to prepare for the resumption of their suspended match against AD Ceuta FC, which was halted at half-time due to the tragic death of a Ceutí fan on Matchday 13. UD Almería will train behind closed doors on both Monday and Tuesday before heading to the Spanish Autonomous City via Tetouan, Morocco, in the afternoon.

The second half of the match, which is currently tied at 1-1, will be played before the team returns to Almería for a couple of crucial training sessions on Thursday and Friday afternoons. This will set the stage for their league clash with SD Huesca on Saturday at 6:30pm at the UD Almería Stadium.

With a packed schedule ahead, the Rojiblancos are set for an intense week, with league fixtures combined with their Copa del Rey commitments. The good news for Rubi is that Lopy, after serving his one-match suspension, is available for selection once again, as is Nico Melamed. The only absentee will be Chumi, who remains sidelined due to injury.
