UD Almería focus on Cádiz CF prep as AD Ceuta FC match status remains unclear
The Rojiblancos return to training after Ceuta, eyes on upcoming derby against Cádiz CF on Sunday
The UD Almería's travelling squad returned from Ceuta on Sunday, making their way back via Tetouan, and will resume training this Monday at the UD Almería Stadium. The Rojiblancos are still awaiting confirmation on when the second half of their suspended match against AD Ceuta FC at the Alfonso Murube Stadium will be played. However, for now, the team's focus is squarely on preparing for their upcoming match against Cádiz CF.
Head coach Rubi is maintaining the team's regular training schedule ahead of the match, which is set to take place at home on Sunday, 16 November, with kick-off scheduled for 4:15pm (Spanish time). The squad will train as planned, with a scheduled day off on Tuesday, followed by a tactical preparation session on Wednesday to begin refining strategies for the derby against Cádiz CF.
Rubi will be without several key players for the match, including international absentees Bruno Iribarne, Džodić, Perović and Soko, as well as injured defender Chumi. However, there is hope that both Baptistão and André Horta will be available for selection.
In terms of discipline, Lopy, who picked up his 5th yellow card of the season in Ceuta, will be eligible for the Cádiz CF fixture. This is because the match report from the Alfonso Murube Stadium will not be finalised until the suspended match is concluded.
