UD Almería fans to have exclusive areas to welcome team
The Club and Spanish National Police hold meeting at the Stadium with positive outcomes
UD Almería supporters will now have exclusive areas to welcome the team on Matchdays, including the roundabout leading to the entrance used by the team coach and the adjacent street called Alcalde Santiago Martínez Cabrejas. This is one of the key conclusions reached following a working meeting between the Club and the Spanish National Police at the UD Almería Stadium.
Mostafa Yilmaz, the Club’s Director of Organisation and Operations, represented the Rojiblancos, while Antonio María Delgado, Provincial Chief of Police and Francisco Javier Corral, Head of the Public Safety Brigade, attended on behalf of the Spanish National Police. The Club official expressed his disagreement with the security arrangements implemented during the match against Málaga CF, highlighting the need to address the issue in order to prevent incidents between different groups of supporters.
Both parties agreed that the fan zone will also be exclusively for UD Almería supporters and that a joint protocol between the Club club and the National Police will be established moving forward to reach a shared approach on security matters. In this regard, they also agreed to carry out a simulation exercise involving the Local Police and the private security staff hired by the Club, with the aim of preparing for potential incidents on Matchdays and during events held at the Stadium.
Taking advantage of the meeting and the presence of the new Provincial Chief and the Head of the Public Safety Brigade, Mostafa Yilmaz also showed them around the different facilities within the Stadium.
UD Almería would like to publicly express their satisfaction with the positive outcome of the meeting, as well as to thank the Spanish National Police representatives for their willingness and cooperative approach.
