UD Almería fans set to travel in numbers to Granada
The Club supporters snap up 600 away tickets in minutes as nearly 1,000 travelling supporters prepare to back their side in a crucial Andalusian derby
A fresh Andalusian derby is on the horizon and UD Almería’s supporters are travelling in numbers, this time heading to Granada. After strong turnouts in trips to Córdoba, Málaga, and Cádiz, this one promises to be even bigger thanks to the short distance, favorable kickoff time and what’s at stake for Rubi’s side. All the ingredients are there for another memorable football occasion.
The 600 tickets allocated by Granada CF for UD Almería Season-ticket holders sold out in just half an hour via the Club’s online system. However, the travelling support is expected to reach around 1,000 fans, with many more securing seats through other channels.
With that backing, the UD Almería faithful are set to make themselves heard at the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium, just as they did last season, though this time hoping for a vital positive result. Rubi’s men need it to stay firmly in the race for automatic promotion to the top flight.
Last weekend’s derby win over Málaga CF marked a major step forward in their ambitions and the team will be eager to build on that momentum.
With the table so tightly contested, UD Almería remain 3rd, level on points with runners-up Deportivo La Coruña, who edge them on head-to-head goal difference.
