Striker Koné starts doing pitch-based exercises

The UD Almería player is gradually becoming part of the team's training sessions. The Rojiblancos step up preparations for the first game of the 2024/25 season at home

Koné is now doing pitch-based ball work and little by little, he is joining the first team training which is very significant. After last week, he had to be taken to the Torrecárdenas University Hospital to undergo a series of medical tests after feeling unwell during training. Last Tuesday, Koné was working out in the gym and this Wednesday, he took another step by starting to exercise on the Anexo grass, although still sidelined.

On the other hand, Marc PubillLucas Robertone and Leo Baptistao, who were absent in Tenerife, have returned to training normally so the vibes are good in terms of availability for Saturday's home opener against Sporting de Gijón after two consecutive trips.

The squad step up preparations with the aim of picking up the three points against rivals who will come ready to win to make up for the defeat suffered against Levante UD and the draw against CD Eldense, in both cases at their stadium, El Molinón.

Rubi, who has 20 players available in the first team, two of them being goalkeepers, relies on UD Almería 'B' players. Up to seven are under the instructions of the head coach, such as Bruno IribarneMarcos PeñaGui GuedesValenHugo NevesRachad and Marezi. Even Valen made his senior team debut on the last Matchday in Tenerife.
