Koné suffers right ankle fracture
The UD Almería centre-forward has picked up an unfortunate injury while playing for the Mali squad in this international break. The 24-year-old is on his way back to Almería to be treated by the Club's medical services
UD Almería centre-forward Ibrahima Koné has suffered a right ankle fracture last Friday during a friendly match that he was playing with the Mali senior squad against Uganda. The footballer left the pitch on a stretcher and later he was taken to a hospital.
After the conversations held between UD Almería and the Mali Football Federation, it has been decided that the best option for the player is to return to Almería city. His injured foot will be immobilised and he will be treated by the Club's medical services.
A fracture in his right ankle is the injury that the Malian Federation has reported to the Andalusian Club. As soon as the striker arrives in Almería, a diagnosis will be made and a recovery treatment will be prescribed.
