Kaiky and Lázaro experience the earthquake in Morocco

The two UD Almería players are currently staying in the North African country with the Brazil U23 squad. They were evacuated from their team hotel when the quake hit. This Monday's friendly has been suspended

UD Almería players Kaiky and Lázaro are experiencing the devastating earthquake that has struck central Morocco, a country where the two Rojiblancos are part of the Brazil under-23 travelling squad on international duty.

The members of the Brazilian team are currently in Fez, 700 kilometres away from the seismic epicentre. In spite of this fact, the footballers suffered from it to such an extent that the Brazilian U23 travelling squad had to be evacuated from their team hotel last Friday night when the quake hit.

Brazil U23 had played a friendly against Morocco U23 last Thursday, within the preparations for the South American pre-Olympic tournament to be held in Venezuela between 18th January and 4th February.

This Monday, the Brazilians had planned a second friendly in Fez, which at first was going to be played behind closed doors, but finally it was decided to suspend it for the gruesome consequences of the catastrophe in Morocco.
