Rubi: We're playing a final and we want to win

The UD Almería head coach states that the clash against Real Valladolid CF 'will be tense' because of LaLiga Santander survival is at stake

'We're going to play another final and we want to win it; it couldn't be in San Sebastián and now we have another chance because if we win, we'll have achieved the objective,' explained the UD Almería head coach Rubi at the pre-Valladolid press conference. He was talking about finals because of LaLiga Santander survival is at stake and said that there is no other option than to pick up the three points. 'If we can't achieve it, we'll have to wait and see what happens on other pitches. In the worst case, we would've another opportunity next week.'

The Rojiblancos' gaffer made it very clear that this Sunday could be the big day: 'We're playing good football at home and we have to get it done.' They will count on the strong support of the 12th Man: 'The fans are supporting us the whole season and they're doing it really well. I'd tell them to come and enjoy the game even though we're all nervous. It can be a historic moment for the Club. I'd like to ask them to give a chance to any footballer who may fail. It's a day that we have to stick together more than never.' It is the last game of the campaign at home and Rubi underlined: 'We want to clinch a win for our fans.'

When asked what he expects from Pucela, Rubi replied: 'They were on a five-game losing streak, but they achieved a prestigious victory over FC Barcelona on the last Matchday. I honestly wish them the best. They've got really interesting footballers. I expect Real Valladolid CF to go all out for a win. They're the only ones who can neither go down nor save themselves this weekend.'

Regarding El Bilal Touré, who is now training with the squad, Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' commented: 'I said that there was a 90% chance that he wouldn't feature this season. He's rejoined the rest of the team-mates and is doing very well. We're shortening the recovery periods and if he does well in the last training session, he's likely to become an available player.' He praised the footballer's positive attitude and the work of the Club's medical serv
