Juanjo Nieto to say goodbye to this season over serious knee injury
The UD Almeria right-back’s anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee was ruptured at La Rosaleda Stadium last Saturday
Bad news for UD Almeria right-back Juanjo Nieto as he will have to say goodbye to this season due to a serious knee injury that he picked up unexpectedly in the final minutes of last Saturday’s match against Malaga CF at La Rosaleda Stadium.
The Club medical services and the 27-year-old player were not very optimistic after a first full medical examination. Then, the diagnostic tests that the Castellon-born footballer has undergone have confirmed that his anterior cruciate ligament has ruptured in his left knee, a long-term injury that will force him to undergo an ACL knee surgery.
The recovery process usually takes between six and nine months.
