Juan Villar suffers a muscle injury in the back of his right thigh

Doctor Ripoll uses a PRP technique in order to heal better and faster. The centre-forward will have a medical follow-up

Juan Villar, who had missed last week’s training sessions, suffers a muscle injury in the back of his right thigh and is now on medical leave. The 33-year-old centre-forward had to come off the pitch in the last part of football practice last Thursday. After having some tests done, he will start his road to recovery with a medical follow-up. Apart from the treatment that he has been undergoing since then, Juan Villar has visited Dr Ripoll at the Prado Sport Clinic in Almeria city this Monday morning where the doctor used a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) technique in order to speed up the healing of his injury.

Another player who has not exercised at the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos this Monday was Ivan Martos due to hamstrings soreness after the friendly game played versus Águilas FC so he was cycling and working out on the sidelines at the gym.

The UD Almeria players will have Tuesday off before returning to work on Wednesday with a double training session prior to their training camp in Marbella that starts this Thursday, 29 July.
