Juan Ibiza is back on the training ground with his team-mates
The centre-back got injured at the beginning of the season and had to undergo surgery last year. He is meant to get the all-clear by mid-March
Juan Ibiza, the UD Almería’s centre-back, headed back on the pitch with the rest of his team-mates and exercised for the first time with the group in the morning workout session on Tuesday, which focused on physical aspects. In this way, the squad got their week started with excellent news; the footballer from Ibiza could get the all-clear by mid-March.
In fact, it should be stressed that he will be examined by Dr. Cugat in Barcelona on 16th March and depending on what the surgeon who operated on him decides, Juan Ibiza could train as usual with the group in no time. Until then, he will do some workout with his colleagues and then continue with some specific workout from the sidelines.
The centre-back got injured during a training session in September last year; he unfortunately suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee. He was surgically operated by Dr. Cugat at Quirón Hospital in Barcelona on 28th September 2019. His recovery time has been really satisfactory and the deadlines set in the beginning will be met so that the Rojiblanco could exercise as usual.
In addition, the midfielders Coric and Fran Villalba also joined the squad for some time in the morning preparation.
