José María Gutiérrez: ‘I appreciate my squad’s teamwork’
The Almeria’s gaffer states that ‘it will be difficult to lose games as long as we play like we did today against Alcorcon’
José María Gutiérrez acknowledged at the post-match virtual press conference being ‘gutted’ after the UD Almería were defeated at home by Alcorcón. That is the reason why, when he was giving his first impressions once the home game finished, he highlighted: ‘I really appreciate my squad’s teamwork. The first time Alcorcon reached our goal line, they scored the opener. Today, we did create more chances and we couldn’t tie so they won the three points.’
The Rojiblancos’ head coach expressed his feeling that ‘let’s say that if you are watching the game and you don't see the goal scored, you will always think that Almería won.’ In addition, the boss believes that ‘if Darwin had scored first, that would have made the difference and therefore, the game would have turned around.’
During his time answering the media’s post-game questions, the Almería’s head coach praised the great game played by his footballers. So much so, that he did not hesitate to assure everybody that ‘it will be difficult to lose games as long as we play like we did today against Alcorcon’
