José Gomes congratulates his players on their hard work in training
The Rojiblancos prepare with intensity the appointment in Las Palmas. Umar Sadiq joins in. Lazo trains on the sidelines. The internationals arrive this Thursday
José Gomes, head coach of UD Almería, congratulated his players on the hard work done in training this Wednesday at the Anexo training pitch next to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium, where the Rojiblancos continue to prepare for Saturday's fixture in Las Palmas. There are still two more football sessions ahead of the squad on Thursday and Friday. Almeria will set out on a journey to the island of Gran Canaria on the fifth working day of the week in the afternoon.
The Almeria’s footballers have been beavering away lately, yet the Portuguese head coach was also really satisfied with the tactical drills practised on the Anexo’s pitch. He conducted a training session focused on set-pieces and tactical plays that he wants his men to display at the Gran Canaria Stadium.
Umar Sadiq, one of the last signings made in the summer transfer window, joined the Rojiblancos preparations and trained as usual after being absent the day before with permission from the club to sort out personal matters. Lazo, who is feeling some muscular discomfort, was working out at the gym and being treated in the medical room, while Appiah continues to speed up his recovery.
With regard to the internationals, Jorge Cuenca will train this Thursday. Makaridze and Maras have a game with their national teams this Wednesday and will later travel back to Almería.
