Active recovery session after first defeat of season

The Rojiblancos trained on the Anexo ground and this Tuesday will be a day off for the squad. Starting Wednesday, they will begin to think about next Monday's home game against CD Castellón

UD Almería are back to the office this Monday after returning from Elda last Sunday night, where the Rojiblancos suffered their first defeat of the season in LaLiga Hypermotion. The initial day of training within this long week has been an active recovery session to improve their physical fitness. It was also a day for reflection, on a mental level in a bid to be aware of what awaits the team in the second tier of Spanish football.

And the fact is that no matter how good the first half was, the numerous chances that were available, and the strengths that were shown despite not keeping up the momentum in the second period, the Indálicos came back home empty-handed.

Unfair, yes, but also a reality. Those players who got the most minutes in their legs against CD Eldense focused more on recovery, while the others exercised with more intensity at the Anexo base.

Leo Baptistao was working out in the gym, although more as an injury prevention, while Edgar and Gui Guedes, who were absent in Elda, continue their road to full recovery with the physiotherapists.

This Tuesday, the squad had a rest and on Wednesday, they resume training to focus on Monday's visit by CD Castellón. UD Almería now will play two consecutive games at home, this one on 16th September and the one they will face SD Eibar on Sunday, 22nd September.
