Jorge Cuenca, Makaridze and Maraš are once again called up by their national teams

The three players will set off on international duty after playing Rayo Vallecano and will miss the next home match versus Mirandés

Jorge Cuenca, Giorgi Makaridze and Nikola Maraš have once again been called up by their respective national teams, so the ‘FIFA virus’ affects UD Almería one more time. On the plus side, contrary to the previous time, the internationals will only miss one official match, the one between Union Deportiva Almeria and Club Deportivo Mirandés on Saturday, 14th November, at Juegos Mediterráneos.

The three footballers will set off on a journey so as to join their national teams after the match to be played against Rayo Vallecano de Madrid. The internationals will return in the days leading up to matchday 13, in which Almería are out in Albacete on Monday, 23rd November. In this way, the internationals will have more quality time to train under José Gomes instructions.

Jorge Cuenca, who is a Spain Under21-s regular experienced international, will play against the Faroe Islands on 12th November, and will be taking on Israel on 17th November. Both matches will take place in Marbella.

Makaridze, a senior international with Georgia, joins his national team on the 12th November against Macedonia, on 15th November against Armenia and last but not least, against on 18th November against Estonia. Maraš, also called up by Serbia men’s national football team, will be playing Scotland, Hungary and Russia on the same dates. 

As mentioned above, the three players will be back in Almería on the eve of the weekend of 21st- 22nd November. On Monday, 23rd November, Albacete will be hosting Almeria.
