The 20-year-old Almeria-born midfielder debuted in the Professional Football League (LFP) with his hometown team
avi Robles made his debut with the UD Almeria first team in the Professional Football League (LFP), when head coach Rubi decided that it was high time the Almeria-born midfielder entererd the Cartagonova pitch during the last 17 minutes and when the game was actually getting more complicated.
‘The truth is that I’m very happy for this debut and very grateful to the head coach for the opportunity he has given me,’ the 20-year-old midfielder told the Club's official media after the opening game.
The footballer from Almería recognised ‘everything was very fast and I hardly had time to warm up, so I tried to get into the game as soon as possible and help the team because Cartagena were pushing a lot.’ Robles will never forget this day and said a special thank you to his parents, family and friends who have always supported him.
Head coach Rubi has counted on the Almeria-born player throughout the pre-season and in the week of preparations prior to the start of the competition. He was named in the starting XI for the appointment in Cartagena and finally made his debut: ‘Javi Robles always does his very best on in the field, so I decided to take him out. I don't look at his age, or where he comes from, but his positive attitude and good performance,’ explained the Catalan gaffer.
Robles, who valued the triumph and highlighted the football that UD Almería play, has almost always worn the red and white striped jersey until he signed for Real Madrid U16s and then returned to his hometown Club and continued to carve out a footballing career with Almeria ‘B’. After the debut of Callejón, led by former head coach Ramis, Javi Robles has been the next Almeria native who has enjoyed his first opportunity to play for the UD Almería first-team in the Professional Football League (LFP).
