‘It’s pointless having won the first game if we don’t score in Tenerife’

José María Gutiérrez, ‘Guti’, wants to keep up the good work and achieve positive results.

José María Gutiérrez, 'Guti', has given a press conference prior to the imminent day of the SmartBank League and stressed that when it comes to matches, ‘all of them are important’, which has led him to say: ‘I think it's okay to win the first game at home, it was important, but it's pointless if we don't score in Tenerife. The longer we are on a roll, the better’.

The UD Almería coaching staff are ‘delighted’ for the regularity demonstrated in the previous league commitment. Thus, the head coach wanted to focus on the first period against Numancia to highlight that the squad continues to improve in their way of playing. ‘I think the team is getting the idea and work is being very good this week’, he added.

Thinking about the fixture at Heliodoro Rodríguez López, Guti believes that there will be two similar teams, so he expects a match in which it will be essential to be ‘better in the small details’ in order to get the three points. In this regard, the coach has said: ‘We have to focus on ourselves and continue to do things well’.
