‘It is very good for a player to take part in a project like this one’

Enzo shows his satisfaction of playing for a football club with the highest aspirations and in his maternal grandparents’ hometown

Enzo, the very last signing made in the January transfer window, has been officially presented by the club’s CEO, Mohammed El Assy, as a new player of the UD Almería. He was ‘delighted’ with arriving at a club that are fighting for promotion. ‘Almeria have got great ambitions and it is good to take part in such a project’, he said.

His arrival in Almería goes beyond the sporting aspect, since his mother's family are from El Chive, a neighbourhood in Lubrín. Enzo expressed his feelings at the press conference: ‘My grandparents were born and raised here and I spent my summers here when I was a child. I'm really excited because getting back to my roots is always good. My family and I are very happy about this.’

He has defined himself as ‘a team player’ who ‘likes working closely with his team-mates’; he added ‘I want to put my technical skills and game vision at the service of the team.’ In addition, he acknowledged that José María Gutiérrez's game proposal is suitable for his characteristics: ‘He wants to play offensively and have possession of the ball and I am used to it. I hope my skills shine out here’.
