Injury issues ease as Carriço is back out on the grass

Samú Costa is available again after serving a one-game ban. Sadiq plays this Tuesday with his national team against Ghana before flying back to Almería

The UD Almería first-team squad trained with the presence of Carriço this Monday afternoon after last Sunday's unthinkable defeat to Girona FC. The Portuguese central defender has finally shaken off his muscle injury. Juan Villar was back at it after being given the all-clear by the Club’s medical staff and the previous week Lucas Robertone rejoined the group in training. So it seems that Rubi continues to recover players as injury issues ease.

Samú Costa is available for selection again after serving his one-game suspension while Sadiq will be part of the Nigeria squad who will be taking on Ghana this Tuesday in the African Cup of Nations before flying back to Almería. The striker will be back in the frame for the away game against SD Huesca this Sunday, 3rd March.

This Monday's practice provided tailored training workloads to different groups of players. While the starters performed an active recovery session, the rest exercised for a longer time at the training base, the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos. Ramazani, who was not named in the team roster against Girona FC due to a knee discomfort experienced after the match in Tenerife, did individual workouts on the sidelines.

Juanjo Nieto, Chumi and Iván Martos have already been ruled out for the next fixture as they are recovering from the serious injuries they sustained and which forced them to undergo surgery.

UD Almeria will be able to kick back this Tuesday, but the Rojiblancos are meeting at the Anexo training ground this Wednesday to prepare for Sunday's game against SD Huesca (KO 6:15pm CEST).
