Injured Lazo forced off the pitch on stretcher after 12 minutes
The Rojiblancos were dogged by growing problems as soon as the match kicked off
UD Almeria left-winger José Carlos Lazo had to be taken off the pitch on a stretcher in the 12th minute following a muscle injury, the extent of which will be known once he undergoes medical tests.
UD Almeria head coach stated in the post-Cartagena presser that Lazo was injured when kicking at goal in a forced way because two opponents were on top of him. The gestures of pain were obvious and as soon as the Club's medical services arrived where the player was, they asked for a change straight away because the Cadiz native player could not continue in action.
The player was treated in the medical room of the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium after picking up an adductor strain in his left groin and proximal thigh. Later, he went to the bench on crutches to continue watching the game. The 25-year-old will undergo medical tests.
