More than 20,000 supporters are expected at the UD Almería Stadium for Saturday's promotion play-off final. A comprehensive security and traffic plan has been put in place to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely
More than 20,000 fans are expected to gather at the UD Almería Stadium and surrounding areas on Saturday for the decisive second leg of the promotion play-off final against Málaga CF, which kicks off at 9pm. Excitement around the Stadium and the Vega de Acá neighborhood is expected to build from early afternoon.
In collaboration with UD Almería, the National Police, Local Police and Almería City Council have organised an extensive security and service operation to guarantee a safe, enjoyable and sporting atmosphere for all supporters.
Both sets of fans will have designated areas to welcome their teams upon arrival at the Stadium.
UD Almería supporters are encouraged to gather along Alcalde Santiago Martínez Cabrejas Street, between the Patatas Salcedo and Alma Building roundabouts, to welcome the Rojiblancos. Meanwhile Málaga CF supporters will have their designated reception area on Acebo Street.
Temporary toilets have been installed around the UD Almería Stadium area, while special parking arrangements have also been made at the Fairgrounds.
Traffic restrictions
Almería City Council has announced that Acebo Street, in both directions, and Alcalde Santiago Martínez Cabrejas Street (towards the Fairgrounds) will be closed to traffic from 4pm until the security operation is completed, depending on supporter activity in the area.
A special traffic management plan will be in operation throughout the afternoon and evening.
Parking information
As on regular Matchdays, the fairgrounds will be available for supporter parking.
The site has been divided into two separate areas:
-
Area 1: Parking for UD Almería supporters.
-
Area 2: Parking for Málaga CF supporters, including coach parking.
Supporters are advised to follow the designated access routes and steward instructions upon arrival.
Arrive early
Due to the large crowd expected at the Stadium, both the Local Police and UD Almería strongly recommend arriving well in advance of kick-off and making use of public transport whenever possible.
