UD Almería U19s claim key wins as ‘B’ side extends winning streak

The UDA youth teams are in fine form as U19s push for Spanish Cup qualification and Liga Nacional success

Both UD Almería U19s squads recorded crucial victories over the weekend, while several younger age groups did not feature in competitive action.

In the División de HonorUD Almería U19s ‘A’ claimed a 2-0 victory over CD Vázquez Cultural, following last week’s win in Melilla. Diego opened the scoring in the 59th minute before Lladó sealed the result in the 80th. The ‘A’ team sit mid-table but remains in contention for a Spanish Cup U19s qualification spot, with upcoming matches set to be decisive in their campaign.

Meanwhile, UD Almería U19s ‘B’ extended their winning streak to seven matches with a commanding 3-0 triumph over Pavía in the Liga Nacional. Currently second in the standings, just one point shy of Marbella, the ‘B’ squad continues to demonstrate dominance, although promotion to División de Honor is not possible as their ‘A’ team already occupy that tier.

Elsewhere in the Academy, there was no competition for the under-16s, under-14s or under-8s, though the U12s enjoyed victories, as did the U10s ‘A’. The U10s ‘B’ are set to host Ciudad de Roquetas on Tuesday, 4 November at the Juanjo Salvador facilities (kick-off 18:30 CEST).
