‘I’m happy with the good vibes that the team had’, this is Almeria second-team head coach Fernando Santos’ post-match reaction, after his side's goalless draw against Mancha Real in their 2020/21 season debut in group IX ‘A’ from Tercera Division.
The head coach considers that the Rojiblancos have ‘always been in control of the game’, which would have meant enough chances to have beaten ‘opponents who are going to fight to be at the top.’ In addition, the head coach pointed out: ‘It was a very evenly-matched game, we had more control while they were trying to counterattack.’
All in all, Fernando Santos recognised that, although it is good to take points, ‘one point is not enough because the chances we created were enough to win.’ Of course, he added that Mancha Real ‘have worked a lot’ to prevent this from happening.
