Young striker Hou named in UD Almería squad list for Spanish Cup second-round tie

The 18-year-old UDA 'B' centre-forward makes his first-team debut for the second-round game against CD Eldense in Elda, Alicante

In a surprising move, 18-year-old striker Houssam Kounia, known as Hou, has been included in UD Almería squad list  for tonight's Copa del Rey second-round match against CD Eldense at the Pepico Amat Stadium in Elda,  Alicante. The promising forward, who has been training under head coach Rubi for the past few days, will be making his first-team debut in the single-legged tie.

Hou, a versatile player capable of operating both as a centre-forward and on the wing, has been impressing in training with the 'B' team and recently joined the senior squad. Despite his youth, the gaffer has opted to give him an opportunity in the prestigious Cup competition.

The squad, which travelled to Elda by road on Wednesday, will return after the match to prepare for Saturday's league fixture against FC Andorra.
