The head of the Club's medical services, who joined US Almería last summer spoke to UDA Radio about Lucas Robertone's injury and his imminent surgery: 'From the second shoulder dislocation in the pre-season we knew that the solution was going to be a surgical procedure. What we've been looking for has been the most appropriate time to carry it out. When an elite athlete's shoulder pops out more than two or three times from the age of 20, the option is usually to undergo surgery.'
As for the discomfort that the injury causes to the player, the Sebastián Jiménez recognised: 'The pain is sharp when the shoulder comes off. He's got an anterior dislocation.'
The head of medical services at UD Almería highlighted the positive attitude that the Argentinian player has shown at all times: 'He was clear that it was a problem that had to be solved sooner or later and he always wanted to bring it forward to help the team. He's had a very positive, praiseworthy attitude.'
Mr Jiménez commented on the operation and recovery process in more detail: 'The surgery consists of an arthroscopy. On one hand, they insert a type of camera and see the joint and on the other, they insert the tools to repair what's there. The average recovery time is usually around three months.'
Regarding the situation of Marc Pubill, who practically suffered a LCL sprain in his left knee 15 days ago, explaining that the footballer is recovering well.'
