The newly appointed gaffer recruits two more assistants to the coaching staff with whom he achieved his successes at UD Almería. Joan Carrillo, who was the Rojiblanco coach
The coaching staff headed and led by Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' at Unión Deportiva Almería has now been named for the 2024/25 season and presents fresh faces compared to the previous stage backroom team. The vast majority is made up of the same professionals with whom the Indálicos earned automatic promotion to the Primera Division as champions and subsequent league safety in the top flight of Spanish football.
Coach assistant Jaume Torra, conditioning coach Xavi Gil, goalkeeping coach Diego Tuero and chief analyst Manel García as well as In-house conditioning coach Víctor Fortes and goalkeeping coach Ricardo Molina, who were working along Rubi at the time, will also be part of his work team this campaign.
Joan Carrillo and Joan Ferrer are the two new members who will join the UD Almería coaching staff. Regarding the first, it is worth remembering that he was in the driving seat of UD Almería in the past 2015/16 season, in which he arrived on Matchday 10, replacing Sergi Barjuán. Carrillo coincided with Rubi at different stages both as coaches in the Espanyol de Barcelona youth team and as footballers at Vilassar de Mar, from now on performing assistant duties.
