Gui Guedes return to UD Almería squad list

Three Months after Injury Rubi can now count on the Portuguese midfielder. Leyo Baptistão was ruled out at the last minute and is awaiting medical tests. UD Almería will have a significant number of players injured in Friday's match in Burgos

UD Almería midfielder Gui Guedes has been recalled three months after being injured in the match against Málaga CF at La Rosaleda Stadium. It was on 8th December and the Portuguese player suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot, which required surgery.

Rubi counted back on him in the squad against Real Zaragoza on this Matchday 31, although he did not appear on the pitch. He was given the all-clear last Monday. Léo Baptistão, who was ruled out at the last minute, was not included in the squad.

As the UD Almería head coach explained after the match against the Aragoneses, the Brazilian suffered the injury last Friday in the final training session before the match. It's a muscle injury, and he will need to undergo medical tests to determine the full extent of the injury.

The Rojiblancos will have a recovery training session at the stadium this Sunday, with Monday being a day off. On Tuesday, they'll return to work ahead of Friday's match in Burgos (KO 8:30pm). Rubi will be without several players. Besides the injured Chumi, Baba, and Rachad, he will be without Bruno Langa, Lopy, and Perovic, who are leaving on international duty.
