The UD Almería midfielder has started his recovery programme after undergoing surgery for a torn external meniscus in his left knee
UD Almería midfielder Gui Guedes has begun his rehab after undergoing surgery for a torn external meniscus in his left knee under the supervision of the Club’s medical staff led by Club doctor Sebastián Jiménez.
The Portuguese underwent arthroscopic surgery last Saturday after suffering a tear to the external meniscus in his left knee. The procedure was performed by orthopaedic surgeon Claudio Vázquez, a doctor with the Spanish national football team at Hospital Vithas Almería.
Guedes started in the opening league fixture against CD Eldense, but finished the match with discomfort. Following the relevant medical examinations, he was diagnosed with the injury and underwent surgery just a few hours later.
Now, having been discharged from hospital, the midfielder has begun his rehab programme with the Club’s medical staff at the UD Almería Stadium.
Guedes faces several demanding weeks of recovery before he can return to full fitness and be available for selection once again.
