Goals galore as UD Almería and Sadiq are LaLiga SmartBank top scorers!
The Rojiblancos are the ones with the most goals in favour (15) while the Nigerian striker is the new top scorer in the league (5)
UD Almería and Sadiq Umar are the top goal scoring team and player in LaLiga SmartBank once Matchday 7 is over after Monday’s game between CF Fuenlabrada and FC Cartagena.
Rubi’s side is by far the one who have scored the most goals (15) followed by Sporting de Gijón (11) and CD Mirandés (11). The goal-per-game average is significant (more than 2) with 7 goals scored as hosts and 8 more as visitors, although four of those away goals were scored in a single match against AD Alcorcón.
On an individual level, Sadiq is the new leading scorer in the competition with 5 goals, closely followed by Pejiño from UD Las Palmas (4) and Stoichkov from SD Eibar (4). Ramazani is also among the highest scorers this 2021/22 season after hitting the back of the net three times.
With regard to the defensive aspect, UD Almería are clearly improving as the average goals conceded per game has dropped below one. The Rojiblancos have conceded 6 goals since the league start. Only SD Ponferradina (5) and CF Fuenlabrada (4) have fewer goals against.
Meanwhile, UD Almería are second in the table standings with 15 points, the same as SD Ponferradina, however the Andalusians have a better goal average. One more week, Sporting de Gijón are the current table-toppers on 16 points.
