Goalkeeper Fernando turns setback into comeback

UD Almería goalkeeper Fernando Martinez has rejoined the rest of his team-mates, as planned by the Club's coaching staff and medical team after the setback suffered by the keeper when saving a penalty to keep a clean sheet and contribute to Burgos CF' defeat last Saturday. It is worth highlighting that the man between the sticks limped off the pitch, although it is highly likely that his injury is not going to prevent him from featuring in the game against SD Amorebieta on Saturday. In fact, after beginning to be treated with physiotherapy at the hotel where they stayed in the city of Burgos, on Sunday and Tuesday (Monday was a day off) he did not exercise along with the squad as he was performing tailored workouts working his way back to full recovery.

The Murcia-born custodian has begun to integrate with the group and his presence in collective training will gradually increase. On another note, the football practice that had been planned at the Stadium was conducted on the Anexo training pitch in the end so as not to damage the grass of the main field due to the heavy rain that was falling. 

This Thursday and Friday, the Rojiblancos will be exercising at the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium.
