A win to climb out of relegation zone

UD Almería have another great opportunity against direct rivals Valencia CF on Easter Sunday to take a huge step forward towards LaLiga Santander survival.

UD Almería are facing another great opportunity to take a huge step forward towards LaLiga Santander survival if they beat Valencia CF this Easter Sunday at the Power Horse Stadium (KO 6:30pm CEST/ Matchday 28).

The Rojiblancos and the Valencianistas are level on points in a congested bottom of the table, which together with the results that have been obtained by other teams this Saturday in the competition, a home victory would mean leapfrogging Valencia CF and the Espanyol de Barcelona.. the situation is similar for the next rivals. As a result, UD Almería are facing a highly competitive match, especially when the table is really tight at the bottom of the table in the race for survival. Furthermore, after the tie at the Mestalla Stadium in the first half of the campaign, winning would also mean having a better goal difference at the end of the championship.

UD Almería will go into the league appointment after grabbing a massive point against Celta de Vigo and going the extra mile to get back to winning ways. The Rojiblancos have not achieved three points in one go since they did it against FC Barcelona. Since then, two defeats have been suffered to Villarreal CF and Sevilla FC and two draws recorded with Cádiz CF and RC Celta de Vigo.

In addition, the fort that they had rebuilt in the Power Horse Stadium has been attacked and the goal is to strengthen it again, something that will be key in the fight for safety.

Eguaras is available for selection again after serving a one-game suspension. Injured Akieme, who has already started doing ball work on the grass, and El Bilal Touré, will sit out the next fixture.
