Gaizka Garitano's farewell letter
The former UD Almería head coach truly appreciates the support received despite not being able to reverse the team's situation. Meanwhile, the Bilbao-born wishes the best of luck to the Club and the people of Almería 'whose behaviour has been exemplary.'
Former UD Almería head coach Gaizka Garitano has issued a statement as a farewell letter once he will no longer be in the driving seat of the Rojiblancos first-team. The Basque Country native coach truly appreciates the support received, especially by the fans 'whose behaviour has been exemplary.'
Mr Garitano feels that he has not been able to reverse UD Almería's situation despite the fact that 'We've given everything in our daily work.'
At the same time, he wishes the best of luck to the Club, the city and the people of Almería: 'I want to thank everyone; to the Club, employees, players, managers, media and above all, the fans for their unconditional support to the team despite the negative results. We are sorry that we have not been able to reverse this bad situation in which UD Almería were when we arrived. Although we have given everything at work daily, but things have not gone well. We wish the Club, the city and the people of Almería, whose behaviour has been exemplary at all times over these months, the best for the future.'
