The UD Almería head coach stressed that the rivals have been, stronger than them in duels and aerial battles. 'We haven't offered what was needed to win today,' he pointed out
UD Almería head coach Gaizka Garitano shared his thoughts in the post-Mallorca press conference: 'In general, I didn't like the game, it was absolutely necessary to win, but it's been difficult for us from the off. Since I've arrived here, it's been the most difficult day for us,' explained the gaffer.
'We were completely outplayed at times. We haven't been able to extend the good performances that we've been putting in against other teams lately,' the UD Almería head coach admitted.
'The rivals have been stronger than us in duels and in aerial battles, and highlighted: 'We haven't offered what was needed to win today. It's been difficult for us to play our game.' he added.
Also, the Bilbao-born head coach highlighted that the team continues training with high intensity and the players are not giving up, nor is the coaching staff: 'We work out fingers to the bone from dawn to dusk, we always give it our all, but we didn't have what we needed to win today.'
Finally, to conclude his post-game press conference, there were grounds for optimism. 'We're on an upward trajectory, we must continue putting in the graft and there's always another opportunity,' he said.
