From the plane to the Juegos Mediterraneos!

UD Almería perform an active recovery workout as soon as they arrive from Las Palmas. Rest day on Tuesday

The UD Almería squad players exercised this Monday as soon as they arrived from Las Palmas. The players got off the plane and got to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium shortly before 2pm (CET).

The starters at the Gran Canaria Stadium focused on an active recovery session with short, low-intensity workouts that aimed to increase blood flow, metabolism and joint movement. On the other hand, those players who did not play or got less minutes took part in a pre-activation training session. Taking into account that this Tuesday will be a day off work, it was decided that the Rojiblancos would exercise after the trip to the Canary Islands.

The Rojiblancos will be putting in the work at the Anexo training ground on Wednesday and Thursday, while they will get together for more training at the Stadium on Friday and Saturday. Remember that the team will not compete until Wednesday, 19th January when they will be playing CD Lugo away from home in a fixture that was postponed back in December 2021. A chaotic week of uncertainty ends on a positive note for UD Almeria as the players now have quite a few days to make progress in their recoveries and improve their fitness after Covid-19 and injuries.
