Fran Villalba, a quality and great attacking player for Almeria

Fran Villalba has become the fourth signing of UD Almeria in this January transfer window after hiring goalkeeper Sivera, the centre-back David Costas and the midfielder Kaptoum. UD Almeria have agreed a deal to sign Fran Villalba on loan from Birmingham with an option to buy the attacking midfielder.

Villalba, who will be wearing the number 10 shirt, is characterised by his great tactical awareness. He will also bring dynamism and versatility to the side, since he can play in any attacking position behind the false 9. 

Francisco José Villalba Rodrigo was born on 11th May 1998 in Valencia; He is 21 years old and is 1.68 metres high (5.51ft). He trained in the Valencia’s Youth Academy and last season he was loaned to Numancia with 40 appearances, 39 in the League and 1 in the Copa del Rey. He scored four goals and had seven assists.

Last summer he was signed by Birmingham City competing in the EFL Championship, a club in which the ex-rojiblanco Álvaro Giménez plays. Fran Villalba has played 17 games in the British competition, achieving a goal.

The new footballer of the UD Almería, who was international with Spain in lower categories, extends to 22 the number of players of the first rojiblanco team.
