First game of 2021 on Sunday, 3 January

The Rojiblancos are to host Ponferradina at Juegos Mediterráneos. It will be the second-to-last matchday before halfway stage of the campaign

LaLiga has announced the dates and times of all those matchdays that will get the new year started. The first fixtures of 2021 will be the second-to-last matchdays before reaching the halfway point of the season in Spain. Consequently, Almería will host Ponferradina at the Juegos Mediterraneos stadium on Sunday, 3 January, at 8:30 p.m. Spain Time. Then, a week later, they will be visiting Leganés on a new outing.

Bear in mind that the Rojiblancos’ last matchday in 2020 is going to be played on Sunday, 20 December at 4:00 p.m. CET. Jose Gomes’ men will be taking on in-form Espanyol de Barcelona at the RCDE Stadium.

Making progress means taking rest days and therefore, Almería will have about one-week holiday at Christmas before this unprecedented year comes to an end.
