First final battle for promotion is around the corner

The promotion-chasing UD Almería 'B' Rojiblancos host rivals CD Toledo at 12 noon on Sunday at the Power Horse Stadium with their minds set on obtaining a good result in the first leg

UD Almería 'B' will face CD Toledo in the first leg of the final for promotion to Segunda RFEF, starting competing on home turf. The match will be played at 12 noon on Sunday at the Power Horse Stadium since the draw determined that once again, the youthful Indálicos do not have the home advantage in their favour.

In addition, the opponents will not be easy to beat. The Toledo-based outfit from Group XVIII finished the season in third position following four consecutive victories in their last games, leaving them just one point behind second place. During the regular season, they stood out for their effectiveness at home and their rock-solid defence, being the second team with the fewest goals conceded. The Castilla La Mancha team, taking advantage of their great end to the season, demonstrated their commanding performances in the two knockout rounds prior to the final against UD Almería 'B'.

CD Toledo beat Yugo Socuéllamos both in the first leg and in the second leg. Subsequently, they made the most of their position in the table against Quintanar, coming back from behind and winning in the 'Salto del Caballo' after extra time.

On the other hand, the UDA Academy prospects reach this final after defeating two teams that were not easy to overcome. They knocked out Altlético Malagueño in the first round and later Real Jaén CF. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that in both games, Lasarte's boys ended up undefeated since they did not suffer a defeat in any of the four matches that, for the time being, have played in this play-offs for promotion.
