The goalkeeper, a true symbol of the Rojiblancos, is one of the longest-serving players in the Club's modern history, having represented the team continuously for the past nine seasons.

Fernando is a special figure at UD Almería. Not only is he a commanding presence between the sticks, but he is also one of the dressing room's key leaders. A consummate professional, he is widely respected by both his team-mates and the Club's supporters for his commitment, character and leadership.

The Murcia-born keeper joined the Club ahead of the 2017/18 season and has since played a central role in some of the most memorable chapters in UD Almería's recent history. He was instrumental in the Club's promotion to LaLiga EA Sports and has also stood tall during more challenging periods, always leading by example.

Across 9 seasons at UD Almería, Fernando has made 149 competitive appearances, placing him 15th on UD Almería's all-time appearance list. He now sits just 5 matches away from equalling Esteban Suárez as the goalkeeper with the most appearances in the Club's history.
