Perović: 'I’m thrilled to score my first goal for UD Almería in an official natch'

The 19-year-old left-winger reflects on his debut goal and UD Almería's passage to the Spanish Cup second-round

Marko Perović played a pivotal role in UD Almería’s 0-2 victory over CF Lorca Deportiva in the Spanish Cup first round, marking his first official goal for the Club. The 19-year-old expressed his delight after the match, not only for his individual achievement but also for the team's progression to the next stage of the Spanish tournament.

The left-winger got off the mark in the Cup. 'I'm very happy to have scored my first goal for UD Almería in an official match,' said Perović to UDA Radio, the Club's official station, following the win in Lorca, Murcia.

The Podgorica native, who has already established himself as a full international for Montenegro, was quick to acknowledge his growing confidence in front of goal: 'In LaLiga Hypermotion, I created a few chances but didn’t manage to score. Now I’ve done it and I hope I’ll have more opportunities to add to my tally.'

Perović also expressed pride in helping his team advance, highlighting the collective effort that earned them a spot in the second round of the Copa del Rey. 'We’ve shown that Rubi can count on any player in the squad,' he added, underscoring the strength and depth of the team, with each player contributing when called upon.
