Final preparations underway for UD Almería ahead of Burgos CF
UD Almería will hold their final training session on Friday morning before travelling to Burgos in the afternoon on a charter flight ahead of Saturday’s crucial away fixture against another promotion contender
The Rojiblancos are preparing for their penultimate away trip of the season as they get ready to face Burgos CF at El Plantío Stadium on Matchday 39.
UD Almería head into the weekend occupying the automatic promotion places in second position, holding a 2-point advantage over Deportivo de La Coruña, while Burgos sit 7th, just 1 point away from the play-off spots. With only 4 games remaining and the standings incredibly tight, victory is vital for both sides.
For UD Almería, 3 points would keep them firmly on course for automatic promotion back to Spain’s top flight, with only 3 matches left afterwards, two of them at home.
Friday’s final session will take place behind closed doors at the UD Almería Stadium before the squad departs for Burgos city later in the afternoon on a charter flight.
This Thursday, the Rojiblancos also trained at the UD Almería Stadium with full focus on the game plan for El Plantío as preparations enter their decisive stage. Before training began, the players gave Adrián Embarba the traditional birthday 'guard of honour' to celebrate his special day.
Head coach Rubi welcomes back Chirino after serving a 2-match suspension, while Baba remains the only injury doubt ahead of the encounter in Castile and León.
