Lopy: 'We're ready to face the final stretch'
The UD Almería midfielder acknowledges: 'The match against Cádiz CF is crucial to keep us in our best shape. The momentum from the previous Matchday will allow us to play it at our best.'
UD Almería midfielder Dion Lopy spoke on UDA Radio to review the current team situation. He is convinced that last Matchday's victory 'was important. We're at the end of the season, and it's been very good for us to face the remaining matches. We've been through a difficult situation, but we're well aware of the players we are and our style of play.'
When asked about his feelings regarding the last two home matches against Racing de Ferrol and CD Eldense, he said: 'The difference is in the intensity with which we went into last Sunday's match from the very first minute. We showed the opponents our style of play and our weapons from the off. I hope we keep it up for the remainder of the match.'
The Senegalese player is very effusive after victories and considers it a ritual for and by the UD Almería fans: 'This type of celebration is vital to me. It's also the moment when I dedicate the victory to the fans because I feel the love they show me. There's very little time left and we have to try, give it our all, no matter what, to make sure the fans enjoy it with us.' He states that the match at the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium 'is decisive to keep us in our best interests, that's clear. Right now, with the concentration we have and the high from the previous Matchday, we're prepared to face it in the best way possible.'
Finally, the 23-year-old admits that he often fantasises about promotion to Primera: 'It's something that worries me a lot because we want to bring joy to the fans who push us to keep going, to run and to win matches. The important thing is to try to achieve it.'
