Alberto Lasarte: This is everyone's game

The UD Almería interim head coach assures that Sunday's fixture is an important day and it can be the turning point

UD Almería interim head coach Alberto Lasarte spoke to the media to look ahead to Sunday's match against Granada CF. The Jaén-born coach has shared his thoughts with the journalists about this vital appointment and first of all, Alberto has highlighted that he is 'very happy' and that 'now it's the time to pull all together.'

The Rojiblancos' head coach took the reins of the first team last Thursday temporarily and when asked how the players were feeling after the harsh defeat suffered to Sevilla FC, he made it clear: 'They're very excited, their time has come and they know that we have to team up. The players have mentally reset, we have a great squad and whoever plays is going to give their all.'

Regarding the style of play that Alberto Lasarte will use in the match, he confirmed that it will be 'recognisable, vertical football, a team playing with intensity that will know what they're doing.' Granada CF are a side that the Indálicos' coach knows: 'They're a team that have improved a lot. They like to run and materialise their chances.' He also assured:'There will be surprises in both starting XIs.'

The current UD Almería 'B' gaffer also highlighted the support he has at the Club: 'I feel supported by everyone who works here and I want to make an appeal, this is everyone's game, fans, management, employees... the players are going to give it their all and we're going to try to clinch the first victory on Sunday at 4pm local time and emphasised again: 'It's an important day, it could be our turning point.'

To conclude his pre-Granada presser, the coach sent a heartfelt message so that the fans are cheering on the team from the first minute of the game: 'We need the backing of the people and we all have to push in the same direction. We've gone through worse situations than this' and concluded with 'UD Almería never give up.'
