UD Almería 'B' kick off pre-season preparations
Alberto Lasarte's side have officially begun their pre-season preparations ahead of what promises to be a challenging 2025/26 campaign in the Segunda RFEF
Following the customary medicals, UD Almería 'B' returned to training with sessions taking place at La Vega de Acá, as Mr Lasarte and his coaching staff begin shaping the squad for the new season. The league campaign will not get underway until 7 September, when UD Almería 'B' will welcome recently-relegated Recreativo de Huelva in their opening fixture.
Now entering their second consecutive season in Spain’s fourth tier, the side face an uphill battle in an increasingly competitive division. Last season saw an impressive debut in the Segunda RFEF, with the team narrowly missing out on a spot in the promotion play-offs.
Pre-season objectives are currently centred around squad development and tactical refinement.
The Club has made 7 additions during the summer transfer window so far, while several promising players from the UD Almería U19s 'A' squad have also been promoted.
Meanwhile, the futures of several players returning from loan spells remain uncertain, with the gaffer yet to make final decisions regarding their roles ahead of the new season.
